The 2026 midterm elections are already raising questions for business leaders, people leaders, and legal teams. The risks are not only political. They may affect employees, communities, business continuity, leadership communication, and how companies prepare for moments of uncertainty or disruption.   Join Coqual and the Civic Business Initiative for a timely, practical conversation on what companies should understand now and how leadership teams can prepare.   This session will help participants understand the risks that may emerge before, during, and after the election period; what business leaders learned from recent moments of civic and community disruption; and how companies can think about internal preparedness, peer coordination, and constructive action without becoming partisan.   The conversation will include a short briefing from the Civic Business Initiative, practical examples from business coalitions, and time for discussion with peers. Members are welcome to invite colleagues from legal, government affairs, risk, communications, HR, inclusion, and business continuity teams.
