Coqual/Center for Talent Innovation (“Coqual/CTI” or “we” or “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website, www.talentinnovation.org, and all other websites owned by us (the “Site” or “Sites”). You can visit most pages on our Sites without giving us any information about yourself, but sometimes we need information to provide services that you request. Please review the following Privacy Policy so that you understand our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personally identifiable information relating to your use of these Sites. If you do not agree with our privacy practices as described in this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Sites.

Your use of the Sites is also governed by our Terms of Use.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect personally identifiable information from you in the following ways:

  • Forms. No registration is necessary to visit or participate in these Sites, except the portion of the website dedicated to Task Force Members. Certain portions of these Sites may condition your access on the provision of personally identifiable information. Also, portions of the Sites allow you to join our mailing list and receive e-mail or regular mail information from us. These sections contain forms which require your name, e-mail address, company name and postal address and which may request, but not require, other personally identifiable information, including your phone number, fax number or title.
  • When You Register as a Task Force Member. The Task Force Member portion of these Sites may condition your access on approval and the provision of additional personally identifiable information. Whenever you register for the Task Force Member portion of these Sites, we request you provide additional personally identifiable information including your company name, title, address, phone number and e-mail addresses.
  • When You Make a Purchase or Register for Events on our Sites. Whenever you make a purchase on the Coqual/CTI Sites, use our online payment system or register for Coqual/CTI events using our online registration site, we request you provide certain information that is necessary for Coqual/CTI’s third-party service providers to bill your credit card company and fill your order. These Sites use an order form that requests certain information about you, such as your name, address, e-mail and credit card information, which is used to process your order or to contact you regarding your order. Your credit card information will not be stored after your purchase is finalized and completed. If we have trouble processing your order, we will use this information to contact you. The purchasing and registration process require our third-party service provider to collect and process your credit card information or checking account number.
  • Surveys. When you participate in Surveys, Virtual Focus Groups, and Insights In- Depth® sessions conducted by Coqual/CTI, we may collect your name and email address as well as certain information on your demographic background and work experience based on our agreements with Task Force members, research sponsors, or client companies. The types of questions we ask are based on the scope of work predetermined

between the member or client and Coqual/Center for Talent Innovation. Demographic information we collect is determined in advance with client or member companies and can include a mix of personal identifiers (age, gender, race/ethnicity, etc.) and organizational identifiers (tenure, business unit, level, etc.). Other information we collect can include a mix of multiple-choice polling questions on experiences within a work setting as well as open box questions for more detail on responses or explanation of more specific experiences.

  • Site Usage Information. When necessary, we may use your Internet Protocol address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Sites. We also may track,
    in aggregate, the browser types of visitors to help us understand our visitors’ needs related to our Site designs.
  • Otherwise Contacting Us. We may collect personally identifiable information such as your name and email address or phone number when you contact us.

COOKIES

Coqual/CTI may use a feature of your web browser called “cookies” to automate certain aspects of our Sites. Cookies are very small text files that are stored on your computer’s browser and that enable us to recognize your computer each time you return to our Sites. Different cookies are used to perform different functions, which we explain below:

  • Essential. Some cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around our Sites and use their features, such as accessing secure areas of a Site. Without these cookies, we cannot enable appropriate content based on the type of device you are using.
  • Browsing and Functionality. These cookies remember choices you make on our website. For example, when you return to our Sites, these cookies help remember your preferences.

We do not use cookies in any way that would disclose your personally identifiable information to a third party without your consent. Coqual/CTI may use advertising management partners to learn which advertisements bring users to our Sites. These advertisers may use client-sided cookies to verify the login status of visitors and registered users of our Sites.

There are several ways to manage cookies. You can control the use of cookies at the browser level, by instructing your browser to accept cookies, disable cookies or notify you when receiving a new cookie. If you reject a cookie, you may still use our Sites; however, you may not be able to log in or access all areas of our Sites.

USE OF THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We use the personally identifiable information we collect from you in the following ways:

  • To provide our Sites and services;
  • To contact you via email in response to your inquiries;
  • To send you email messages to containing information relating to your interest inCoqual/CTI;
  • To fill your orders;
  • As otherwise permitted by applicable law.

LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING

We process personally identifiable information per applicable law and with transparency and fairness. The legal bases for each processing activity listed above are as follows:

  • Processing for the purposes of providing our Sites and services, respond to inquiries and send other information emails, and process job applications is conducted out of necessity to establish and fulfill a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR).
  • Processing for the purposes of sending you promotional emails and conducting market research is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
  • Additionally, we may process your information as otherwise required by applicable law.

SECURITY AND DATA RETENTION

Coqual/CTI retains records of individuals who make purchases, register for events, and register for the Task Force Member access in its database. Coqual’s/CTI’s Sites use reasonable security measures designed to protect against the loss, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, or alteration of the information under our control. That said, please understand that no data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you understand that any information that you transmit to us is done at your own risk. If we learn of a security systems breach we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. By using the Sites or otherwise providing personally identifiable information to us, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy and administrative issues relating to your use of the Sites. We may post a notice via the Sites if a security breach occurs. We may also send an email to you at the email address we have on file for you. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing.

We retain your personally identifiable information for no longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention is required by law.

INFORMATION WE SHARE WITH OTHERS

  • Affiliate Sharing. Coqual/CTI does not share your personally identifiable information with unaffiliated third-parties for the purposes of marketing their products or services to you. However, your personally identifiable information may be shared with any Coqual/CTI-affiliated organization, as permitted by law. We do not share, sell, or rent your personally identifiable information with or to any individual or organization except as permitted under this Privacy Policy, pursuant to your express permission, or as required by law.
  • Third-Party Service Providers. Coqual/CTI may employ contractors or other third- parties. These contractors or other third-parties may have access to your personally identifiable information if this access is necessary for them to perform services for us. Coqual/CTI engages service providers who commit to use reasonable measures to protect the privacy of our Sites’ users in a manner consistent with our policies.
  • Compliance with the Law. We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information when we believe, in good faith, that the law requires such disclosure, including, for example, complying with a judicial proceeding, court order or subpoena, or when Coqual/CTI believes that public interest mandates such disclosure.
  • Business Transition. If Coqual/CTI goes through a business transition, such as a reorganization, acquisition by another entity, or transfer of all or a substantial portion of our assets, we reserve the right to transfer your personal information to any successor entity in connection with such business transition.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

If you provide us with personally identifiable information, please understand that your information will be stored in the United States and maybe stored in other jurisdictions. We may transfer information to our affiliates and subsidiaries, across borders, and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. If you are visiting from the European Union (“EU”) or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, please note that the United States does not and other jurisdictions may not have the same data protection laws as the EU and may not afford many of the rights conferred upon data subjects in the EU. You acknowledge you understand that by providing your personally identifiable information: (i) your personally identifiable information will be used for the uses identified above in accordance with this Privacy Policy; and (ii) your personally identifiable information may be transferred to the United States and other jurisdictions as indicated above, in accordance with applicable law.

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Coqual/CTI is not responsible for the contents, services, privacy policies, or practices of any websites to which we may hyperlink from our Sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our Sites and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN

These Sites do not target children. You must be 18 years or older to visit or use the Sites. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personally identifiable information from a person under the age of 18, we will delete it as soon as possible.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so we encourage you to review it frequently. Users will be made aware of these changes by the change of the version number and effective date at the top of this policy. If we make a change that we reasonably believe may materially affect how we collect, disclose, or otherwise share your personally identifiable information, we will post a separate notice to that effect on our home page with a link to the revised Privacy Policy and will notify you via email. Any changes made to this Privacy Policy will apply to any personally identifiable information that you provide to us on or after the effective date of such changes and any information previously collected from you by Coqual/CTI. ACCESS TO PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION AND OPT-OUT

If your personally identifiable information changes or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete, or deactivate your records by contacting us via email or postal mail using the contact information below.

These Sites allow you the option of registering to receive e-mails about new products, events or other matters of interest regarding Coqual/CTI. The option to discontinue receipt of these mailings is available to you at any time that you request it. INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS

You have the following additional rights:

  • The right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not your personally identifiable information exists and to be informed of its content and source, verify its accuracy and request its completion, update or amendment;
  • Request the deletion, anonymization or restriction of the processing of your personally identifiable information processed in breach of applicable law;
  • Object to the processing, in all cases, of your personally identifiable information for legitimate reasons;

YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS AND HOW WE RESPOND TO “DO NOT TRACK” SIGNALS
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits visitors to our websites who are California residents to request, once a year, certain information regarding our disclosure of personally identifiable information to third-parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share your personally identifiable information with third-parties for their direct marketing purposes.

At this time our Sites do not recognize automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, which may include “Do Not Track” instructions.
