Kerrie Peraino is the Chief People Officer at Verily Life Sciences, an Alphabet company. As the head of human resources, she and her team develop and drive the people strategy in partnership with Verily’s business leaders.

Before joining Verily in August of 2021, Kerrie was VP People Operations at Google, leading Business HR and the Googler Experience team of over 600 HR professionals supporting Googlers around the globe. Before Google, Kerrie spent over 20 years as a senior Human Resources leader at American Express, serving as the company’s Chief Talent Officer, Chief Diversity Officer, VP of International Human Resources and Global Employee & Labor Relations.

Her work and writings have been featured in a variety of publications, including DiversityInc, Working Mother Magazine, and Diversity Executive. The Harvard Business Review released The Sponsor Effect: Breaking Through the Last Glass Ceiling, a research report for which Kerrie served as a thought leader and contributing author.
