VP, People Operations, Business HR and Google Experience
Kerrie Peraino leads frontline HR as VP people operations at Google. She and her team develop and drive the people-related plans and strategies for all global product areas, functions, and geographies across the company. She leads a team of nearly 600 HR business partners and generalists.
Before joining Google in 2017, she was a senior vice president of Human Resources at American Express, where she served as the firm’s chief talent officer and head of Talent Management worldwide. In this role she had responsibility for global talent acquisition, executive recruitment, leadership and talent planning, succession management, assessment and onboarding across the enterprise. Previously, she was senior vice president, Market Human Resources and Global Employee & Labor Relations. She led an organization of over 150 human resources professionals who supported a global population of nearly 60,000 employees in over 100 markets. Kerrie worked with American Express since 1996, holding a variety of roles including chief diversity officer.
Kerrie’s work and writings have been featured in a variety of publications including DiversityInc, Working Mother, and Diversity Executive. She served as a thought leader and contributing author in the research report The Sponsor Effect: Breaking Through the Last Glass Ceiling, released by the Harvard Business Review in December 2010. Kerrie holds a BA in communications from Rutgers University and a MA in corporate communications from Seton Hall University.
