Carolyn Buck Luce is co-founder and co-chairman of Coqual’s board of directors and managing partner of the boutique consulting firm Imaginal Labs. A leader in both the private and public/non-profit sectors for the last four decades, she has spent her career building highly effective cultures, businesses, teams, and leaders. She has been a diplomat, Wall Street banker, management consultant, healthcare futurist, talent innovator, professor, author, philanthropist, and executive coach. Her career journey has provided her with a unique perspective on building the culture, leadership behaviors, and systems that drive creativity and innovation. A co-founder of Coqual’s Task Force, she has co-authored Harvard Business Review articles and the well-received book Reimagining Healthcare: Through a Gender Lens. She is now working on her latest book, The Decade Game®: How Woman Can Recapture Power and Purpose at All Ages and Stages.
For more than two decades she was a principal at EY (Ernst & Young) and spent the last decade as the global sector leader for EY’s business with life sciences companies. Carolyn has served in a variety of capacities in advancing women’s leadership including past board chair of the New York Women’s Foundation, being named the 2012 Woman of the Year by the Healthcare Women’s Business Association, and, in 2007, she was appointed by Mayor Bloomberg as a commissioner of the New York City Commission on Women’s Issues.
