Anne Erni

Chief People Officer, Audible

Anne Erni is the Chief People Officer of Audible, an Amazon subsidiary.  Audible is the world’s largest producer and provider of spoken-word entertainment and audiobooks.  In addition to running Human Resources at Audible, Anne manages Workplace Operations, which includes Real Estate, Facilities and neighborhood-making in Newark.  She joined Audible in February 2016.

Previously, Anne was Head of Human Resources for Bloomberg L.P.  During her tenure at Bloomberg, she led the implementation of the company’s Global Leadership Forum, Bloomberg’s first diversity and inclusion initiative, and revamped the succession-planning process.  Prior to joining Bloomberg, Anne was Managing Director and Chief Diversity Officer at Lehman Brothers, where she pioneered global efforts in the recruiting, retention, and advancement of women and under-represented groups in financial services.  She led the development of global strategies for workforce, marketplace and supplier diversity, and the work-life integration agenda.  Anne came to HR with more than 15 years of front line banking experience in fixed-income, prime-brokerage sales, and in corporate banking covering both private and public sector clients.

Outside of work, Anne is passionate about conservation, diversity and education.  She serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Long Island Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, is on the Parents Board at Bucknell University, and is a mentor in W.O.M.E.N. In America (WIA), a professional development and mentoring program for women.  Anne received her B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and M.A. from the School of Advanced International Studies of the Johns Hopkins University in Washington and Bologna, Italy.  She lives in New York City and East Hampton, N.Y., with her husband, Nicolas, and loves seeking adventures and skiing, kayaking and hiking with her two children, Paulina and Noah.
