Sandra Rice
Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Engagement
“Legacy isn’t just about where you’ve been—it’s about who you’ve made room for along the way.”
Sandra Rice is Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Engagement at Coqual, where she leads strategic outreach, sponsorship, and relationship development with the organization’s corporate partners. She also serves as the driving force behind Coqual’s Task Force—a cross-industry network of senior leaders committed to advancing bold thinking, shared accountability, and real change.
Sandra brings more than two decades of experience in diversity, leadership development, and media to her role. Before joining Coqual, she served as Senior Vice President of National Recruitment and Leadership Development at the Emma Bowen Foundation, where she created programs that placed thousands of college students of color in paid internships across 70 media companies—many of whom now hold leadership roles in media and tech worldwide.
Known for her candor, care, and ability to open doors and lift voices, Sandra has been a force for change inside boardrooms, on campuses, and across industries. She began her career in broadcast journalism, holding roles in programming, international distribution, and public relations at the ABC Television Network and KCRA-TV.
Sandra serves on several nonprofit boards and is a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Jack and Jill of America Inc., and the American Legion Auxiliary. She earned her journalism degree from San Jose State University and a master’s in media studies from The New School. She is an avid reader, lifelong mentor, and a believer in the power of building new leaders, not just talking about them.
