Pat, Coqual’s former chairman of the board, was one of the original six Task Force members who helped found Coqual in 2004. A respected media leader, senior executive, and public and nonprofit board member, Pat stepped into the CEO role in the fall of 2018. At Coqual, she brings to bear her passion for coaching, managing, and motivating people to succeed, alongside her desire to help corporate leaders design workplaces that bring out the best from the broadest range of people, backgrounds, and perspectives.

Pat has been honored at the New York Women in Communications’ Matrix Awards and inducted into the Museum of Television & Radio’s “She Made It” Collection. She has an extraordinary background in both the creative and business arenas of major media companies. Before joining Coqual, Pat served as chairman of the NBCUniversal News Group. In her prior roles as EVP of NBCUniversal and EVP of administration at Time Warner Inc., she was responsible for a broad array of corporate functions, including human resources and driving company wide diversity and inclusion efforts. Pat won a Catalyst award for her legendary work on Time Warner’s Breakthrough Leadership, a program designed in partnership with Simmons University to build a pipeline of women headed for top executive roles.

As president of ABC Daytime, she was responsible for introducing the hit talk show The View. She also worked at Lifetime Television, launching “the first network for women,” as well as at Home Box Office and ABC Sports. She has twice ranked among Fortune’s “50 Most Powerful Women.”

Pat has served on New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s Commission on Women’s Issues. Her storied career in media is detailed in the Harvard Business School 2009 case study, “Patricia Fili-Krushel: Traversing a Career Path.”
She is deeply committed to board leadership in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors and serves on the boards of the Dollar General Corporation, Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc., the Estée Lauder Foundation, and PEN America. She is the vice chair of the Public Theater and chair of the Berkshire Film Festival. She brings enthusiasm and commitment to diversifying corporate boards. She loves to solve problems and create a positive impact in the workplace and beyond.
