It was nearly two decades ago when Coqual began to research and define sponsorship. Today, this career-making relationship remains as important as ever to get right. In this webinar, we will go back to the basics, revisiting what sponsorship is, what it isn’t, and the value it brings to those involved. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we will look through a Hispanic and Latino/a lens, sharing what our recent research reveals about systemic and interpersonal barriers to sponsorship—and with it, corporate power. We invite all those who are interested in fine-tuning their own sponsorship practice, as well as those interested in spreading sponsorship awareness and access through culture and formal programs. We will round out our data insights with tactics for sponsees, sponsors, and practitioners.

In honor of Veterans Day, we present findings from “Mission Critical”, our research on veterans in the workplace, with a focus on the diversity of the veterans’ cohort, the extra challenges intersectionality can bring for veterans, and how networks and sponsorship function differently in the civilian workplace.
